Southern Culture on the Skids

MOJO BOX

2004-01-13

Southern Culture on the Skids reminds us what Rock was all about before it branched off, diverted, and fused in so many different ways. Their rockabilly (seasoned with a dash of surf and a pinch of R&B) delivers rippin' guitar lines and relentless rhythms. There's no political or social commentary here; no self-indulgent introspection. All Southern Culture cares about is fast cars, girlfriends/boyfriends, and havin' a party.

MOJO BOX is Southern Culture's 7th release. The group works out of North Carolina and this album was recorded in a cinderblock garage previously used for building muscle cars.

Be careful where you are when you first listen to this CD - you will dance.
