PAUL THORN

TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED

2014-08-10

Too Blessed To Be Stressed is Paul Thorns first recording of all original material since 2010's Pimps & Preachers. On this disc, Paul claims he has chosen new territory and not written songs that are autographical but to make a disc that express more universal truths, with the sole: to make people feel good. I challenge anybody to listen to this disc and not leave with felling good and having a big smile on your face. Paul once again combines humor, Blues, Gospel and good old fashioned Rock & Roll to make a Mississippi musical stew. Paul may have written the perfect weeks anthem with I Backslide On Friday {Who Hasn't?}. The title track &Get You a Healin' brings back the church sounds form this son of a Mississippi preacher. The 11 tracks on this disc are among Paul's best and show why this great storyteller continues to have a growing fan base and is just Too Blessed To Be Stressed. Reviewed By: Gregg Saur
