LISA GERMANO

No Elephants

2013-04-03

Since her debut in 1991, Lisa Germano's hushed vocals and confessional lyrics have created fragile, intimate records. Her latest album, No Elephants, is no different. A delicious meditation on childhood and the dark underbelly of our misremembered nostalgia, the record is full of audio distortions, ethereal instrumentation, and whispery vocals to make oneself want to snuggle (or hide) under the covers. it's a record that demands for you to listen to its intricacies to fully enjoy it, and luckily for listeners who can take the time, their effort will be well spent. ~ Jacqueline Ristola
