Swedish songwriter Nicolai Dunger blends a mix of pop tunes and smooth R&B ballads on his newest release Here’s my song, you can have it…I don’t want it anymore. Dunger blasts away in more pop-inspired tunes such as #2 “Hunger” and #8 “Way up High”, but also takes some time to slow down with the sliding guitar-driven #7 “Country Lane”. The album provides a nice mixture of styles, and Dunger’s vocals carry nicely through both power chords and melodic guitar swoons. – Ryan Terpstra Note Nicolai Dunger switches his collaboration here; On previous records he was backed by E.S.T. (Esbjorn Svenssons Trio). With this record, he ambitiously collaborates with “Mercury Rev.”Virginia Coalition
