Loud blues, soft blues, aggressive blues, old timey blues, acoustic blues, delta blues, instrumental blues…mercy, this guy covered a lot of ground on this disc. I was set to dislike this album with extreme prejudice, but very shortly into the first track, I was reminded of the words of Marge Simpson concerning “toe-tapping fun!” Sweany is an Ohio native, and this is his fourth release. My favorites were “After Awhile” (Blues rock), “Burma Jones” (Instrumental), and “Mom and Dad” (great acoustic track). Kindly Old Mr. TilapiaGEORGE THOROGOOD & THE DESTROYERS
