For this release, Claudia Quintet leader/composer, John Hollenbeck, began by collecting song titles. He then wrote music inspired by these words and phrases with no thought as to their meaning, thus removing any context from them. The result is almost free jazz; but this is actually melodic and often quiet. The most interesting songs here are "Keramag" and "Armitage Shanks", which are both mid-tempo with tight arrangements.
