It has been done with Nina Simone and several artists on the Verve Series; now jazz legend Billie Holiday is being reintroduced to sound systems worldwide. Don’t expect any of the original tunes to remain—in fact, big Billie Holiday fans should just put this back on the shelf. This is more of a cool electronic jazz album with bits of Holiday thrown in at appropriate times. Not bad, but not groundbreaking. Considering the success of these products on our station this is a notable project, but no “Jammies” to be had here. -PTin Hat
