Iron & Wine

Our Endless Numbered Days

2004-04-14

Iron & Wine is Sam Beam and his sister Sarah. Our Endless Numbered Days is the love child born of Sub Pop Records and Sam's first venture into a studio after cutting his teeth with home-made 4 track recordings.

Mostly pretty laid back stuff here, but with an abstract poetic way with lyrics and voice that at times feels like very old Simon and Garfunkle, at times like the wispy confidential revealings of Colin Devlin. It's a likeable package.

Is that Dirk Koning on the cover?
