Chris Whitley & The Bastard Club

Reiter In

2006-04-05

The late Chris Whitley leaves one last part of his legacy with Reiter In. Recorded in a variety of musical styles and containing covers of the Flaming Lips and the Passions, the album contains textbook Americana rock as well as spoken-word ballads. Tracks of interest include the spoken-lyric #5 “Cut the Cards”, #9 “I Go Evil”, and the smooth-acoustic rocker #3 “Inn”. #8 is probably too weird for airplay.
