The debut album for this London-based sextet, The Eighteenth Day Of May provides a unique and refreshing take on traditional folk music, giving it a Celtic twist. Grouped as part of the UK’s “Neo-Folk” scene, the band is looking to expand its listening base across the pond. The album features contributions from members of “Olivia Tremor Control.” Give a listen to tracks #4 “Deed I Do”, #8 “Cold Early Morning”, and the opener #1 “Eighteen Days”.
