Todd's firing on all cylinders on this one: lyrically, musically, vocally and cynically he's never been this consistently sharp.

Todd takes on aging and Aging rock stars, COPS (televised and otherwise), sycophants, the rat-race and right-wingers. The early favorite from the record, "The Ballad of the Kingsmen", delivers sort of a musical synopsis of Bowling for Columbine. He balances the wise-cracking with songs with beauty and tasteful celebrations of the Nashville scene and, well, life.

It's finally the perfect Todd Snider record, start to finish.
