Redbird

Redbird

2005-03-01

While touring England in 2003, the trio of Jeffrey Foucault, Kris Delmhorst and Peter Mulvey discovered a common affinity for the great American songbook.

In loose afternoon song circles, the trio developed an extensive playlist that covers a broad cross-section of American writing from Tom Waits, Greg Brown, Willie Nelson, Irving Mills, William Butler Yeats and many more.

A record was bound to happen.
Now, Signature Sounds presents the band - and album - Redbird. Recorded in a living room around a single microphone and featuring an original tune from each contributing artist, Redbird catches three fine American songwriters sharing their love for country, jazz, blues and traditional music.
