Kaki King returns with her second all-instrumental release.

The 24-year-old Atlanta transplant originally set out for the big city to be a rock drummer. When it wasn’t working out, she fell back on the guitar, which she had also been studying for most of her childhood. Upon discovering the recordings of Michael Hedges and Preston Reed, Kaki found that their “violent acoustic” styles appealed to her percussive nature.

Kaki committed herself to a music career in 2001 and quickly gained attention with original pieces that borrow from folk, indie rock and classical music.
