Reaching back, back, way back to the British Invasion, Georgie James' first official studio release invokes pure pop bliss with catchy hooks. Formed in 2005 in Washington, D.C., Georgie James' indie-pop is untainted by corporate radio, revealing an innocent singer-song writer fusion that fits like a glove. "Places" summons generational inspiration from a variety of pop gods like The Kinks' brand of sunshine pop to the musings of the Talking Heads.
