Teddybears are three musical mad scientists from Stockholm who are about to take the world by storm with their album, Soft Machine. These gigantic bear head wearing musicians have mashed together just about every genre on the planet, resulting in one of the most enjoyably diverse pop records you'll hear. The album is a mash up of styles touching on garage punk beats, Electro, Dancehall and Krautrock, featuring a diverse array of guest vocalists, including Iggy Pop. Neneh Cherry, Elephant Man, Annie, Ebbot Lundberg of Soundtrack of Our Lives and Mad Cobra. An album with this many twists is bound to make a few wrong turns now and then, but for the most part Teddybears give us a fun pop record to bop along with. It isn't a cerebral album, but pop music isn't rocket science. Just “roll your windows down” (trk 4) and enjoy some Swedish good times. -PAl and the Black Cats
