When it comes to super bands from the Crescent City, they get no hotter than this. This group of suspects includes "Mean" Willie Green the drummer for the Neville Brothers, Reggie Scanlan who spent 33 years playing bass with the legendary Radiators, Jake Eckert guitarist for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band & CR Gruver on keyboards who has immersed himself in the sounds of Professor Longhair & James Booker. This disc combines New Orleans Jazz, Blues, Soul & Rock in a gumbo that more than satisfies your senses. Their vintage Big-Easy sound could be described as taking Dr. John, The Royal Southern Brotherhood and a hot brass band and mixing them all together. If you are a fan of the sounds of the Crescent City, Ouroboros is a must. Reviewed By; Gregg SaurBILLIE HOLIDAY
