Philadelphia native, Carsie Blanton, has toured extensively in the last few years, opening for such artists as: Joan Osborne, The Weepies, and Paul Simon. If that doesn’t give this singer-songwriter credibility, the fact that her third release was produced by Oliver Wood (Wood Brothers) certainly does. Sticking strictly to the folk genre, with elements of pop and country scattered throughout, “Idiot Heart” features charming lyrics, sung sweetly, to the accompaniment of a full band.
