The Waxies

Down With The Ship

2015-10-16

What can you say about the Waxies? They are local, they have a unique sound, Tight, Clean, and just all around good tunes to listen to. I would consider this more of an Irish Gypsy band, but they really sound closer to more of a string band. Similar to Yonder Mountain String Band, but they really do put their own Irish spin on it. I put this cd in later in the evening and the next thing you know i was up and dancing all around like it was 1 o'clock in the afternoon. I thought the songs "Down With The Ship" and "The Silver Spear" were the best songs on the album.
