  Best known for her work with New York band, Brazilian Girls, Sabina Sciubba moved back to Paris and recorded her first solo record, Toujours.  The album features her spoken-sung multi-lingual vocals over acoustic instruments with occasional keys, horns, and samples. Sabina claims she was inspired by 60's and 70's pop classics and that seems obvious when listening to "Sailor's Daughter" or "I Won't Let You Break Me"; both of which suggest a 60's girl group sound. If I didn't know better though, I would think I was listening to Nico, especially on first track "Cinema", which is reminiscent of Velvet Underground.
