DJ/Producer/MC Action J and singer AdraBoo comprise the Seattle-based, electoro-soul outfit Fly Moon Royalty. Action J got his start in the Grand Rapids club scene, creating beats and DJing after he graduated from high school. He moved to Seattle where he started working with AdraBoo and have released several EPs together.
The sound is funky and dancey and AdraBoo's vocals are quite smooth and sultry. They even throw some vocoder in on track 3 and create an almost Daft Punk sound. Typically this type of music doesn't appeal to me but they are doing something a little different and special.
