CAPERCAILLIE

Roses and Tears

2008-06-07

The fifteenth release from this band which hails from Scotland and if you are a fan of their music. You will not be disappointed. Karen Matheson’s voice is only improving with time and still as crystal clear as it was the first CD they released. Personally of all the Celtic bands out there this is my favorite of all. There are a fair amount of Reels here so take your pick, they are all DAM FINE. But the cuts that grabbed my attention the most are number 3 and number 9. Maybe it’s the dual front wars we are waging but they seem very pertinent to the current state of world affairs. If someone were to ask me to pick a bad cut from this CD my comment to them would be to choose another CD, there is just nothing here I did not like or listen to numerous times. I’m looking forward to seeing this one land in the rotation.
