ISIDORE

Life Somewhere Else

2012-02-18

In 2004, Remy Zero’s Jeffrey Cain handed an instrumental demo to The Church’s Steve Kilbey. Soon, thereafter, the demo was returned. Interestingly, Steve Kilbey had added vocals to it. A collaboration had begun and the first Isidore album was released. With both men busy with their own affairs, Isidore was set aside. But with the 2010 death of fellow Remy Zero band-mate, Gregory Scott Slay, Jeffrey Cain was inspired to revisit the music of Isidore. He invited Steve Kilbey to again join him and Life Somewhere Else was made. Handling most of the instrumentation and production is Jeffrey Cain. Handling vocal duties is Steve Kilbey. Between Mr. Cain’s atmospheric sounds and Steve Kibey’s distinctive vocals, one can’t help but to compare this to The Church, circa the Priest = Aura years. This is pleasant atmospheric rock.
