SUBDUDES

Street Symphony

2007-07-30

The Subdudes are masterful musicians proving they can still reach to further expand their artistic expression. Street Symphony, their third album since regrouping in 2002 and seventh overall, provides us more of the solid work we've enjoyed since their 1989 debut. As the name suggests, this CD crafts the stories of many lives. This is the first new material written post Katrina from this popular R&B group, formed in New Orleans. The Subdudes have an innate sense of the life of the common man; illustrating the joy, comfort, loss and pain with wisdom, grace and gratitude. Street Symphony is a delightful follow up to their highly successful Behind the Levee 2006. Hands down, two thumbs and two toes up. Wendy Allyn
