Think medieval times when you listen to this album that features ex-Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and the soothing vocals of Candice Night. The songs range from Fleetwood Mac-esque beauty to Irish folk ditties that may seem bizarre, however are very interesting to listen to as the music really does capture the essence of emotion as sung by Candice Night. Not only is Blackmore’s guitar work essential to this project, but Night’s vocals range from Madonna a la late 90’s to Lorenna McKennitt making for a beautiful sound. The album is a steady mix of instrumentation and vocals with a aforementioned medieval time sound. Track 3, “I Guess It Doesn’t Matter Anymore” is the standout track with upbeat catchy lyrics and Blackmore’s signature guitar licks and arrangements. Track 9, “Mond Tanz/Child In Time” is another classical piece that suggests more rock then traditional music. Also listen to track 10, “Streets of London” and track 12 “Olde Mill Inn” and from the bonus tracks, track number 16 “Street of Dreams” which features Joe Lynn Turner accompanying Candice Night on vocals. Overall a good album that is a little out of the ordinary, but is definitely worth your time. Lane ZoerhofHamsa Lila
