I’m glad the goofy cover art caught my eye - this 16-song compilation of great swing and blues hits from the past century sizzles. The small-band renditions of these big band songs by greats like Hank Ballard and Big Joe Turner are pleasant, impressive, and fun. Every member of this five-piece show cooks this record to a golden brown. Whiskers frisked! The Mighty Fines’ killer woodwinds will keep you spinning ‘til the end.
