Minneapolis-based trio, Solid Gold, sometimes sounding a bit like a not-so-edgy Kasabian, delivers synth-rock on this release. Singer, Zach Coulter's often double-tracked vocals add to the atmospheric feel of the first song, "One in a Million", one of the stronger offerings here. The title track, "Synchronize", is electronic rock that seems almost suitable for the dance floor. The song is remixed later in the album to a slower, more synthesized mix. I have to mention the remake of "Danger Zone", a song that I have always hated, but that this band makes almost tolerable. "Sharpshooter", another highlight of this disc, is a moody instrumental that I rather liked. Rebecca RuthSTEVE EARLE
