RANDALL BRAMBLETT

Rich Someday

The opening track off Bramblett’s latest album is a poppy-folk radio single “Where Are You Tonight”. Though there’s no mainstream sound on this album, it’s a pretty good listen that country, folk, and classic rock fans will enjoy. The second track, “Beautiful Blur” is a bluesy chop that could do pretty good on indie radio. The same goes for track 6, “Somebody Like Me”, though this is a little more mainstream country sounding. Track 12, entitled “Stupid Shoes” is another countrified tune that actually rocks pretty good; another good song for indie radio. Though the lyrical content is lacking at times, the easy listening instrumentation of guitar, percussion, and B3 organ will reach out for many people to enjoy. Nothing overly spectacular on this album, but a couple of songs make it worth listening to.
