RACHEL ECKROTH

Let Go

2014-06-12

In this, her second solo album, singer-songrwriter Rachel Eckroth steps up as the star of her own show. Did she do it all by herself? It's hard to say - no other performers are credited. The lightweight and undistracting backing tracks serve to ornament her voice without ever taking a turn for themselves. Her voice is straightforward and unadorned. What Eckroth lacks in excitement she makes up in determination. -Gerald Etkind
