Scott writes from the heart, nobody could accuse him of sitting on the fence, he speaks his mind at the risk of sounding a little preachy. I enjoyed the musicianship on this one. He was named Songwriter of the Year by the Nashville Songwriters Association International in 2001 and ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year in 2002. His musicians on this are legends, including, bassist Danny Thompson (Richard Thompson, Rod Stewart) and drummer Kenny Malone (JJ Cale, Johnny Cash), guitarist Richard Bennett (Emmylou Harris, Mark Knopfler), Sam Bush , and keyboardist Gabe Dixon (Paul McCartney) and mixed by multiple Grammy-winning engineer Gary Paczosa (Alison Krauss & John Prine.) – Teresa Jeanne
