Less smug than 2003’s Vehicles & Animals, Athlete’s decided to grow up a bit in words and deeds on Tourist. Words: about the pointier parts of life: pain/sorrow/loss/broken or missing parts/hope for something better. Deeds: a sound that follows down Coldplay’s well-frequented path with soaring bass and expansive guitar – more expressive, less quirk, less comic. Cheers, mates.Joel Pott *guitar, vocals* --- Cary Willetts *bass, vocals* --- Tim Wanstall *keyboards, vocals* --- Stephen Roberts *drums, vocals*.
