With a voice that's part Michael Tarbox / part Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Rick Cookin' Sherry leads Chicago's Devil in a Woodpile as they put a decidedly non-standard hillbilly/swing twist on a collection of blues, gospel and hot club jazz standards from Charlie Patton, Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Terry, Sonny Boy Williamson, Big Bill Broonzy, and Led Zeppelin (?).

Smokin'.
