The Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) invites poetry lovers of all ages to Open Mic Night for Poetry on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at the Main Library, at 111 Library St Northeast.

This event, hosted by local poet Michael Sikkema, offers a welcoming space for poets of all skill levels to share their work in front of a supportive audience.
Sign Up: A sign-up sheet for performers will be available upon arrival

This free event is open to the public, and anyone interested in performing is encouraged to sign up on-site.

Karl Denson's Tiny Universe brings its diverse music stylings to The Elevation stage, fusing jazz, funk, soul, and rock. 

Denson's performed for decades with bands, including the Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz, The Blind Boys of Alabama, and many others.

Doors for this all-ages show open at 7,  and the show begins at 8.

This event is a family-friendly celebration of arts, crafts, food, live local music, and the unique Eastown neighborhood, one of Grand Rapids' most eclectic districts!

The WYCE booth at Eastown Street Fair will have  a huge selection of pre-owned vinyl and CDs. We'll also have your favorite 'YCE merch for sale, including shirts, WYCE hats, and more!

The 52nd Annual Eastown Street Fair runs from 9 AM to 9PM Saturday, September 6th.
