You can meet this need, and best of all, you don't need any special skills...just the ability to read and write English and a passion to help others do the same.

Attending a volunteer information Session is the first step in learning more about becoming a literacy coach.

GRTV's Media Makers summer camp registration is now open! 

Grand Rapids high schoolers can get hands-on experience creating a live studio TV show, short film, or podcast - and get paid to do it! 

Campers will spend a week learning creative techniques and technical skills, workshopping with local professors, filmmakers, reporters, and radio personalities, all while getting experience with professional production equipment. 

By the end of camp, they'll have a finished project for their portfolio and a free membership to the Community Media Center. 

Applications are open now - spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Franciscan Life Process Center - Music Lessons (click for more info)
The Franciscan Life Process Center is now offering music lessons in piano, guitar, drums, and brass instruments, as well as beginning voice. 

Enrollment is open for weekly half-hour lessons, which are held at the Center's campuses in Lowell and Grand Rapids. 

There are immediate openings for children 8 years old through high school and adults of all skill levels, and lesson times are flexible.

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum is proud to announce the opening of a new showcase exhibit, "Casting Light: Photographs of the Vietnam War," commemorating the 50th anniversary of the end of U.S. involvement in Vietnam.

This exhibit, opening April 21, uses photographs to provide a moving, intimate, and powerful look at the Vietnam War, capturing how presidents grappled with the reality of war and the American public's changing responses to the conflict.
