The Indian Mounds Rock & Mineral Club will hold its 45th Annual Gem & Mineral Show April 10-12 at Rogers Plaza, 972 28th Street Southwest, in Wyoming,

This year's show will feature a broad array of artisan demonstrations including wire wrapping (jewelry making), rock polishing, and geode cracking. 

The club will host demonstrations, rock and mineral identification, and a children's table featuring mini-collections, grab bags, and a fossil dig. 

The event is open to the public from 9:30 am-9 pm Thursday and Friday, and 9:30 am-7 pm Saturday.

The event will be hosted by Grand Rapids Poet Laureate Christine Stephens-Krieger, and will feature performances by local poets who will share their original works.

 

In addition to the performance, attendees will leave with a recommended reading list and tips on how to enjoy the power of poetry.
