Blandford Nature Center - FREE IN FEBRUARY 2025 (click for more info)
Blandford Nature Center is opening its 264 acres of forests, fields and wildlife free of charge to visitors for the entire month of February.

Visitors will have access to eight miles of hiking trails, plus get to know Blandford's 30 wildlife animal ambassadors and get a sneak peek into the Sugarhouse at Blandford to see how maple syrup is made!

The trails and grounds at Blandford, located at 1715 Hillburn Ave. NW in Grand Rapids, are open daily from dawn to dusk. 

The Mary Jane Dockeray Visitor Center is open Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

World Affairs Council of Western Michigan-Great Decisions Lecture Series (click for more info)

Support for WYCE comes from The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan, presenting "Great Decisions" an eight-week series on important global issues facing our world right now.

The series opens Tuesday February 4th with dialogue from John Austin, a senior fellow at the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College. Austin will discuss how the US and allied nations can keep authoritarian leaders in check.

A meet-and-greet is set from 5:15-6 PM. The program begins at 6 and is held at the Ford Presidential Museum. All are welcome.
