WYCE is excited to announce our online experiences auction!

Beginning Friday, November 1st, you can bid on several unique experiences with 100% of proceeds benefitting your favorite community radio station, WYCE!

Unique and one-of-a-kind local "experiences," up for bid include a night at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel with a haunted Grand Rapids Tour; a tour and bourbon tasting for six at Long Road Distillery, a "Night Under the Stars Package with The Grand Rapids Public Museum plus VIP behind the scenes tour; private cooking classes for two at The Local Epicurean, plus several other unique experiences to bid on.

Bidding in WYCE's online experiences auction opens Friday, November 1, at noon and closes Friday, November 8, at noon. The auction will be online at WYCE.org.

GRPL - National Native American Heritage Month (click for more info)
The Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) celebrates National Native American Heritage Month in November and invites the public to enjoy programs and experiences designed for both kids and adults that highlight and celebrate our Native American communities. 

On November 6th, join GRPL for an evening with Waubgeshig (Waab-gee-shig) Rice, who will discuss his novel, Moon of the Turning Leaves. A book signing will follow the discussion. 

The program begins at 6:30 pm and is open to the public at no charge. Registration is recommended.

On November 16,  Grand Rapids Public Library presents "Reg Pettibone & Family" from 3-4pm. Reg Pettibone, champion pow-wow dancer, and his family will perform traditional dances and songs plus stories about Native American culture.

Both events are at the main library branch in downtown Grand Rapids.

The Michigan Music Alliance is pleased to announce Sounds Like Michigan, a live music fundraiser on Saturday, November 23 at the Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids in partnership with Local Spins, Triumph Music Academy, and 88.1 FM WYCE.

The inaugural event will include an evening of live performances, limited-edition merchandise, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, networking, and more. 
 
Detroit-Ypsilanti folk-rock trio Frontier Ruckus will headline the event, and additional acts will be announced soon via Opnr. 

Proceeds will support the Michigan Music Alliance's educational programming and artist performances.
