The West Michigan Opera Project invites you to their fundraising event, "We've Been Framed!" on Saturday, October 5, from 6-8:30pm, in Grand Rapids Charter Township.
The event will feature artist John Archer's portraits of opera favorites brought to life by West Michigan Opera Project singers.
Doors open at 6:00pm. Appetizers, a silent Auction, and live music are all part of this fundraiser. Donations are also welcome at the door.

Blandford Nature Center is offering youth--and family-focused environmental education programs at different county parks throughout September.
Blandford's education programs will engage the unique natural landscapes of Johnson Park, Caledonia Lakeside Park, Townsend Park, and Fallasburg Park to enhance the community experience in every corner of the county.
Programs range from nature-themed guided activities for ages 5-12 to adult birding classes. Registration is required with a low-cost fee attached.

If you are a kiteboarder, surfer, or paddler, you can participate in KB4C Michigan, happening October 11-18.
Kiteboard 4 Cancer is a week-long water-sports endurance race to raise funds for young adults diagnosed with cancer.
Participants raise pledges for every mile ridden or paddled, with funds going to send young adult cancer survivors to a cancer support program run by the nonprofit Project Koru.
