Franciscan Life Process Center - Trail Run (click for more info)

The Franciscan Life Process Center will be hosting their 10th annual Franciscan Rhythms 5K, benefiting its music therapy program and land restoration efforts on Saturday, Oct. 5. 

This is an all-ages and all-fitness-level 5K that will allow participants to "Run with Nuns" and experience a variety of restorative projects through its rural Lowell campus. 

Racers will experience live music stations along the trail route, and also receive handmade birdhouses, coffee, and freshly baked cinnamon rolls made by the sisters to celebrate the 10th-anniversary milestone.

Standing Together Concert Series (click for more info)
The Standing Together concert series was created locally to raise money and awareness for mental illness and homelessness in West Michigan!
 
Funds raised from the series are used to provide direct-to-build shelters and permanent homes for our area's homeless while providing mental health resources.
 
The next Standing Together concert is Friday, September 13th, at Legacy Park in Ada. 

It features a triple bill of live music from Phil Biggs, Troll for Trout, and Domestic Problems. 

The concert starts at 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public at no charge. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to set up their seats and be ready to donate by scanning the QR codes available at the event.

The Creston Neighborhood Association is proud to announce the return of Art Bash For Creston, a night of art, food, & community, on Wednesday September 25, from 6 to 9 PM  at the Golden Age venue space, located above Creston Brewery.

Art Bash provides materials for twelve Creston-based artists to create art live and in person. 

These newly created artworks are then auctioned to benefit the Creston Neighborhood Association. Some of the proceeds from the final auctioned piece are given back to support the artist.

This signature event will raise funds to help hospice patients receive complementary therapies and services that enhance their quality of life - without worrying about the cost. 

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will also be a silent auction and other ways to support the nonprofit in person and online.

Support for WYCE comes from The Fans of Valley Field ... presenting Ballpark HoeDown with live country music from Prior Noon and Nashville recording artist Jordan Ellis Mobley, this Saturday, September 14th.

Gates open at 6pm. Sullivan Field features lawn seating only, so attendees should bring a blanket or chair.

A full bar and food will be available and all proceeds will support ballpark renovation. There's no charge for kids under 12.

Community Game Nights will be held on September 18, October 16, November 27, and December 18, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the library's Ottawa Hills Branch at 1150 Giddings Ave SE.

The library will provide a variety of games for community members, families, and friends to play. Attendees are also welcome to bring their board games.
