This event is a family-friendly celebration of arts, crafts, food, live local music, and the unique Eastown neighborhood; one of Grand Rapids' most eclectic districts!

Once again, WYCE will be on-hand with a large and diverse selection of pre-owned vinyl and CDs. We'll also have your favorite YCE merch for sale, including shirts, WYCE hats, and more!

The 51st Annual Eastown Street Fair runs from 9 AM to 10 PM Saturday, September 7th.

Sounds of the Zoo is a multi-cultural music festival and symposium, running from September 23rd to September 29th, taking place at various venues in Kalamazoo. 

There will be over 50 different local, regional, and national acts, including Nathan Walton & The Remedy, Laura Rain, Kait Rose & The Thorns and many more.

Sounds of the Zoo is open to the public, with many of their events being suitable for all ages.

Friends of Grand Rapids Parks is partnering with Premier and Chill Foundation West Michigan to provide a free skate and build a demo for all ages and skill levels.

On Wednesday, August 28th, members of the Premier team, skatepark builders, and local artists will guide a skate demo workshop at Clemente DIY Skate Park. 

GR Outdoor and Chill Foundation will provide a limited supply of free rental skateboards and safety equipment for the skateboarding class.

The class begins at 5:30 and offers introductory-level training that is free and open to the public.

City of Grand Rapids Free Summer Fitness Classes (click for more info)

The City of Grand Rapids, in partnership with Priority Health and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc., is hosting another summer of free outdoor fitness in parks and public spaces across the city.

The city offers 16 dance, cardio, and yoga classes that will run weekly from now until August 22nd. 

These fitness classes will be held weekly, Monday through Thursday, and are free of charge; no registration is required.

Cancellations due to weather will be announced on the City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
