In The Image, a local nonprofit seeks to provide over 4100 Kent County children with a brand-new pair of shoes. 

SHOES 2024, running July 30th through August 3rd at Devos Place in Grand Rapids, will include healthy lifestyle resources, free vision screenings, and local organizations coming together to help families kick-start the school year.

The program is appointment-based, so every child gets a tailor-made shoe selection. Kent County children in grades K through 5 are encouraged to take part in the program if their family is experiencing financial hardships.
