The World Affairs Council of Western Michigan empowers West Michigan's people and organizations to engage thoughtfully with the world.

The World Affairs Council is committed to providing non-partisan, global perspectives by bringing international diplomats and global experts to our community.

Their motto is: "To change the world," we believe, "one must first know the world."

Coming up is their series called "The Radical Middle: Reconnecting our Frustrated Majority and Reviving our Democratic Republic," Series Dates are October 1, 8, and 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Kentwood Public Library.

This year's concert series features a diverse lineup of performers including Tower of Power, Warren Haynes with the Grand Rapids Symphony, Charley Crockett, Black Violin with the Grand Rapids Symphony, Andrew Bird, and Buena Vista Social Orchestra amid terraced lawn seating surrounded by views of gardens and sculptures.
