Both this track, "Mellow War" from Taylor McCAll and the following track, a cover of George Harrison's "Isn't It A Pity" done here by Cowboy Junkies, really send me to a certain mood. I am not enough of a music theory person to describe what makes them feel so connected. Are they both in a minor key? Is there some underlying commonality that gives both of these songs a similar, deliciously world-weary sad vibe? Music people out there, analyze please!
