Blues Spotlight - Sang In Gospel Groups As A Child, Played On Various Blues Circuits As A Teenager, Befriended Sonny Boy Williamson Before Moving On To Howlin' Wolf In 1949. a Year Later Formed A Coalition Of Performers In Memphis Known As The Beale Streeters, Which Included Bobby "Blue" Bland And B.B. King. In 1951 Hooked Up With Guitarist Pat Hare And Formed The Blue Flames, Soon Discovered By Ike Turner And Signed To Modern Records. Several Other Labels Would Follow, Releasing A Continuous String Of Hits On The R&B Charts Over The Next Twenty Years. Herman "Junior' Parker Was Posthumously Inducted Into The Blues And Mississippi Musician Halls Of Fame Thirty Years After His Passing.
