According To St Louis Bluesman Henry Townsend, Hardin Was A Metalworker By Trade. Townsend Has Also Speculated That The Hardin Recordings Were Actually The Work Of A Performer Known As Hi Henry Brown, And A Couple Of 1940's Tracks Under The Pseudonym Of Leroy Johnson. The Debate Of The True Identity Of Lane Hardin Is An Ongoing. Lane Hardin Passed On In 1975.
