Blues Spotlight: Little Is Known Of Lane Hardin Whose One Coupling For Bluebird Records Produced Two Sides In The Mid-1930's, Pretty Much The Extent Of The Documented Recording Career. According To St Louis Bluesman Henry Townsend, Hardin Was A Metalworker By Trade. Townsend Has Also Speculated That The Hardin Recordings Were Actually The Work Of A Performer Known As Hi Henry Brown, And A Couple Of 1940's Tracks Under The Pseudonym Of Leroy Johnson. The Debate Of The True Identity Of Lane Hardin Is An Ongoing. Lane Hardin Passed On In 1975.
