Though Little Is Known Of The Early Life Of Barrelhouse Blues Vocalist Georgia White, Documents Indicate Of Her Singing In Chicago Nightclubs By The Late 1920's. Miss White's Most Prolific Years Began In 1935, Recording Over One-Hundred Tracks By The Mid-40's, And For A Short Time Forming An All-Female Band. Big Bill Broonzy Hired Her As The Pianist For His Laughing Trio. Returning To Nightclub Work In 1950, Miss White Spent Ten More Years On The Chicago Club Circuit. Georgia Lawson White Passed On In 1980.
