Lemon Henry "Blind Lemon" Jefferson

One Dime Blues [1927]
Rough Guide To Blind Lemon Jefferson 2013 via Paramount
a note about this track

For More Than Twenty Years, Blind Lemon Jefferson Was A Familiar Sight On The Streets Of Dallas, Playing A Dense, Free-Form Style That Showed Little Regard For Regular Time And Structure. Born In Galveston In 1893, Blind Lemon Roamed Far And Wide As A "Wandering Songster', Many Of Those Years With Lead Belly. Lemon Had A Short Recording Career Beginning In 1925. His Output Over Four Years Is Astonishing, Enjoying those Fruits Of His Successful Years. Lemon Henry Jefferson Passed On At The Age Of 32 Stuck In The Snow During a Harsh December Winter In Chicago.
