The Mississippi Jook Band Were A Trio Forming And Staying Close To Their Hometown Of Hattiesburg For Most Of Their Career. The First Recordings Took Place In 1929 For Paramount Records, And Over The Next Seven Years, Their Music Developed A Sound Which Some Critics Described As Fully Formed Rock & Roll Guitar Riffs And A Stomping Rock & Roll Beat. The Mississippi Jook Band Dissolved In 1936.
