Arthur Gunter's Southern Gospel Roots, And Later Playing With Various Blues Groups Took Him To Nashville In The Early 1950's, Signing A Recording Contract With The Excello Records, And Writing and Releasing a Stable Of Songs During That Decade. The Only Hit Gunter Ever Had Was Sung By A Singer From Tupelo, Mississippi. Elvis Made Gunter's "Baby Let's Play House," Into A World-Wide Smash. Gunter's Own Releases Were Not Generating Much Interest, And He Eventually Faded From Public View, Performing Occasionally. Arthur Gunter Passed On 1976
