My favorite genres push the envelopes of their domains. They defy the lines we refuse to draw within, and neglect the rules of engagement. Music is boundless. My show, is also boundless. I will encompass the depths of multiple genres as we explore the very beats that power the mind, the body, and the soul. If listening, you will hear: New Music, Old Music, Young Music, Dying Music, Local Music, Foreign Music, My Music, and Your Music. Requests are always welcome. Let's add fuel to the fire.
Local Spins on WYCE is a 1-hour exploration of the best music from the Grand Rapids area and West Michigan. The program often debuts new songs by seasoned artists as well as emerging acts who merit attention and broader exposure.
The show is hosted by John "SINK-uh-vitch" from LocalSpins.com, the website covering West Michigan's music scene. Each week, John invites local artists into the studio for live music and conversation.
